About Us

Like most new businesses and innovators, we spontaneously came to the idea of Annuity Shield. It all started during a Lunch & Learn at Top Golf with One Financial Advisors and a couple of lawyers from Miller-Harrison. David Schackelford, of One Financial Advisors, was teaching us about the annuities that he had shaped specifically for HOA's and about the many wonderful advantages of investing in annuities as an entity, rather than as someone who is at retirement age. He was breaking down many of the pros and cons for us when it became apparent that most of the cons come from the problems within the HOA's themselves. We learned that each HOA had its own unique hurdles, which caused them unwanted stress with their investments. The simplest of the issues were communicating with ever rotating boards. We quickly realized that if there was a 3rd party who could be the assigned annuitant and also run all of the customer service side of things it would clear up almost all of the common issues. 

 

Boom! Annuity shield is born. 

 

With this idea firmly in place we started knocking out the nitty gritty of how it would be run. We wanted to set up a company where homeowners and HOA Managers alike could easily find everything they need to better understand this amazing opportunity available to them. We also wanted to create a process that could take away all of the stress that is typically found when working within the financial industry. By always ensuring availability to HOA boards and their managers, we will be able to take away as much work and headache as possible. We could support the managers while being a source of confidence and knowledge to board members.

 

We want to be the ones answering the board's questions about how and why they should be interested in annuities and we want to be the ones to connect with you regularly to share the growth happening in your investments. Our purpose is to make the process as simple as possible for all parties involved and to give you an easy place to track your growth.
